從一個天才早逝的神童說起
看到新聞關於神童張世明 30歲最近憂鬱死
真的讓人有無限的感慨
我真的替這位神童感到可惜與難過
天才本來就容易孤獨的道路
他的父母如果在他小時後
能夠讓他多參加一些課外活動
多接觸不同的人與事務
有機會遇到一些挫折
而不要一味的追求學術與學位的成功
我相信就算晚個兩三年拿到博士學位

成長歷程
個人出生在台灣中部靠海邊的一個小村落
父親這一邊的家族成員 到目前應該有超過兩三百人
母親那一邊的家族成員 到目前應該也有超過兩百多人
以前小時後大家都住同一個村子裡附近
每年過年過節聚會那可是非常的熱鬧
紅包可以收到手軟
在我這一代因為台灣社會工商業化後
大都搬到各都市區居住
還有的移民海外 到大陸定居
偶爾過年 祭祖時 能全家族團聚

全世界前五百名的大學
2008全球頂尖大學排名 哈佛大學再奪冠
根據今天公布的最新「泰晤士報高等教育─二零零八全球頂尖大學排行榜」，美國長春藤名校哈佛大學蟬聯全球最佳大學，耶魯大學排名第二，前五十名頂尖大學以美國大學居多，亞洲地區包括日本、香港、新加坡、中國及南韓都上榜，台灣則未能擠進前五十大。
這項調查是第五年進行，由Quacquarelli Symonds（QS）公司進行資料收集調查，根據各大學的研究、教職員人數、國際知名度、教學品質等進行評等與分析。
根據調查，全球前二十名最佳大學分別是：哈佛大學、耶魯大學、劍橋大學、牛津大學、加州理工學院、倫敦帝國學院、倫敦大學、芝加哥大學、麻省理工學院、哥倫比亞大學、賓州大學、普林斯頓大學、杜克大學與約翰霍普金斯大學並列第十三，康乃爾大學、澳洲國立大學、史丹佛大學、密西根大學、東京大學、馬吉爾大學。
去年與耶魯大學並居第二的劍橋大學與牛津大學，今年分別跌到第三和第四；普林斯頓大學由去年的第六名跌到今年的第十二名；康乃爾大學由去年的第二十名升到今年的第十五名；瑞士聯邦理工學院蘇黎世分校由去年的第四十二名，躍升到今年的第二十四名，進步驚人。
上榜的亞洲大學中，以日本的東京大學排名第十九，成績最佳，京都大學排名第二十五，香港大學由去年的第十八名，跌到第二十六名，新加坡國立大學由去年的第三十三，進步到今年的第三十；首次進前五十大排行榜的香港科技大學從去年的第五十三大幅進步到第三十九。
